Regular Season Round 28: AGH 2 - Resovia 92-79

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Resovia (20-8) against tenth ranked Korona (12-16) on Wednesday night. Visiting Resovia was defeated by Korona in Krakow 92-79. They shot the lights out from three nailing 20 long-distance shots on high 54.1 percentage. Korona players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The winners were led by swingman Szymon Sobiech (198-2002) who scored that evening 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Mateusz Orlowski (187-2006) supported him with 21 points. Even 23 points and 5 rebounds by Konrad Mamcarczyk (190-1994) did not help to save the game for Resovia. Point guard Wojciech Szpyrka (178-1998) added 19 points and 6 steals for lost side. Four Resovia players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Korona maintains tenth position with 12-16 record, which they share with Sudety. Newly promoted Resovia dropped to the fourth place with eight games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Korona will play against Iskra Cz (#11) in Czestochowa in the next round. Resovia will play on the road against Tarn.Gory (#9) in Tarnowskie Gory and hopes to get back on the winning track.
