No shocking result in a game in Katowice where top-ranked Mickiewicz (28-0) outleveled 14th ranked Tychy 2 (6-22) 94-55 on Wednesday. Mickiewicz dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Tychy 2's 30. Mickiewicz forced 29 Tychy 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 46-30 including 18 on the offensive glass. Power forward Piotr Karpacz (202-1998) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Lukasz Klaczek (203-2000) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Four Mickiewicz players scored in double figures. Swingman Kacper Szczepanek (187-2004) produced 12 points and forward Ignacy Jakacki (193-2003) added 10 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mickiewicz have an impressive 28-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 28-0 record. Tychy 2 lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth place with 22 games lost. They share the position with Czeladz and Trefl 2. Mickiewicz will meet Rybnik (#5) on the road in the next round. Tychy 2 will play against Cracovia (#7) and hope to secure a win.
