Regular Season Round 25: Saint Vallier - Vichy Clermont 85-82

Bottom-ranked Saint Vallier managed to get a seventh victory, breaking the series of four consecutive losses on Friday night. This time they edged sixth-ranked JA Vichy 85-82. Saint Vallier made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Spanish point guard Xavier Forcada (193-1988) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and power forward Fabien Paschal (205-1991) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Five Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Tray Boyd III (193-1998, college: ETSU) responded with 21 points and 5 assists and forward Ivan Fevrier (204-1999) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Saint Vallier maintains eighteenth place with 7-18 record. JA Vichy at the other side keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Antibes. Saint Vallier are looking forward to face league's second-placed Chalon/Saor on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
