Regular Season Round 25: Caceres - Albacete 87-76

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Albacete (5-20) lost on the road to fourteenth ranked Caceres (8-17) 87-76 on Friday. American guard Kenny Hasbrouck (191-1986, college: Siena) nailed 16 points for the winning side and point guard Daniel Rodriguez (182-1984) accounted for 13 points and 4 assists. Four Caceres players scored in double figures. Caceres' coach Roberto Blanco used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Danish swingman David Knudsen (190-1994, college: Marist, agency: Players Group) came up with 21 points and center Juanjo Santana (205-2001) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Albacete in the defeat. Caceres moved-up to thirteenth place. Albacete lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth position with 20 games lost. They share it with Melilla and Iraurgi SB. Caceres will meet at home higher ranked Ourense (#12) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Albacete will play against the league's leader Palencia (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
