Very expected game when 13th ranked Aias Evosmou (8-16) lost to fourth ranked AO Triton (15-8) in Athens 67-72 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. AO Triton looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by power forward Michalis Kamperidis (206-1994, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored that evening 20 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian Nemanja Manojlovic (197-1993) supported him with 12 points and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds by center Antonis Karagiannidis (204-2002) did not help to save the game for Aias Evosmou. Point guard Apollon Deligiorgis (192-1993) added 8 points and 6 assists. AO Triton moved-up to third place, which they share with Eleftheroupoli. Aias Evosmou lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. AO Triton will meet Ermis S. (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Aias Evosmou will play against Panerythraikos (#5) and hope to secure a win.
