There was a minor upset when 8th ranked La Roda (11-13) was outplayed at home by eleventh ranked Moron (9-15) 96-74 on Saturday. Moron outrebounded La Roda 40-27 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Riley Hayes (203-1998, college: Catholic) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and naturalized Bosnian Nedim Djedovic (205-1997) who added 24 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Dominican Jhery Matos (196-1996, college: Charlotte) with 19 points and 6 rebounds and American-Jamaican guard Jahvaughn Powell (183-1996, college: Nicholls St., agency: Helping Ballers) scored 18 points. La Roda's coach Antonio Moya gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Moron moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Huesca and Real Canoe. Loser La Roda dropped to the seventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Cartagena. Moron will meet at home Baskonia B (#14) in the next round. La Roda will play against Melilla (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
