There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (12-13) edged on the road 9th ranked SIG Strasbourg (11-13) 91-90 on Saturday. Americans were the main players on the court. Point guard Kenny Boynton (188-1991, college: Florida) fired 22 points and 6 assists for the winners. JaJuan Johnson (208-1989, college: Purdue) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Point guard Marcus Keene (178-1995, college: CMU) produced 32 points and 4 assists and guard DeAndre Lansdowne (188-1989, college: Fort Lewis) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SIG Strasbourg's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gravelines-Dunkerque moved-up to ninth place. Loser SIG Strasbourg dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Limoges. Gravelines-Dunkerque will meet at home higher ranked Chorale de Roanne (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SIG Strasbourg will play against the league's leader Monaco having rather not much hope for a victory.
