Second Stage Round 2: Samobor - Mladost 75-109

Rather expected game when Samobor was smashed at home by Mladost 109-75 on Saturday. Mladost dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Samobor's 44. They outrebounded Samobor 35-21 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mladost looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Samobor's players. Guard Toni Bilic (201-2005) notched 30 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and Ivan Bogdanovic (205-1994) supported him with 12 points and 4 assists. Four Mladost players scored in double figures. Mladost's coach Andjelko Matov felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Even 23 points and 7 rebounds by guard Luka Kujundzic (186-2003) did not help to save the game for Samobor. Point guard Vladan Lazic (188-2001) added 20 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Mladost will meet at home Jazine in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Samobor will play against Stoja Pula and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
