There was a minor upset when 15th ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (8-16) was edged at home by eighteenth ranked ADA Blois (9-16) 83-80 on Saturday. American guard Robert Johnson (192-1995, college: Indiana) fired 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Thomas Cornely (190-1991) chipped in 18 points and 9 assists. Zimbabwean power forward Vitalis Chikoko (208-1991) produced 21 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Michael Stockton (185-1989, college: Westminster, UT) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Pau-Lacq-Orthez players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. ADA Blois moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Nanterre. Pau-Lacq-Orthez lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 16 games lost. They share it with Nancy and Fos-sur-Mer. ADA Blois will meet at home Sluc Nancy (#17) in the next round. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against JSF Nanterre and hope to secure a win.
