Regular Season Round 24: Palma - Cartagena 68-67

Seventh-ranked Cartagena (11-13) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Palma (15-9) in S'Arenal on Sunday. Palma managed to secure only one-point victory 68-67. However their fans expected easier game. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin center Milan Suskavcevic (209-1997) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Serbian forward Viktor Kovacevic (203, college: West Liberty) chipped in 6 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Juan Pedro Jimenez (202-1997) who recorded 18 points and 5 rebounds and center Sergio Mendiola (207-1996) added 12 points and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Palma maintains fifth position with 15-9 record. Cartagena lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 13 games lost. They share the position with La Roda. Palma are looking forward to face Salou (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cartagena will play against L'Hospitalet (#11) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
