Bottom-ranked Melilla managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of eleven consecutive losses on Sunday night. This time they won against fourteenth-ranked Almansa 82-74. Melilla looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Melilla (5-20) moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Albacete and Iraurgi SB. Loser Almansa keeps the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. They share it with Oviedo. Melilla will meet higher ranked Oviedo (#14) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Almansa will play against Valladolid and hope to secure a win.
