Very important is a home loss of third ranked Trefl (16-7) against seventh ranked Enea Zastal (14-10) on Sunday night. Host Trefl was defeated by Enea Zastal in a tough game in Sopot 81-90. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Trefl. Enea Zastal shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Trefl was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American Bryce Alford (190-1994, college: UCLA, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored that evening 32 points and 6 rebounds and the former international swingman Przemyslaw Zolnierewicz (196-1995) supported him with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Enea Zastal players scored in double figures. Even 20 points by international Andrzej Pluta (190-2000) did not help to save the game for Trefl. Belgian Jean Salumu (193-1990) added 19 points. Enea Zastal moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Spojnia. Trefl at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Stal. Enea Zastal will play against Suzuki Arka (#11) in Gdynia in the next round where they are favorite. Trefl will play at home against Sokol (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
