Everything could happen in San Fernando at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked CBSFDO and 5th ranked Aljaraque had identical 12-8 record. This time CBSFDO used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Aljaraque 80-76 on Sunday night. CBSFDO dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Aljaraque's 22. They outrebounded Aljaraque 54-38 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Jose Ruiz (200-1997) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 32 points and 16 rebounds and forward Manuel Ezomo (191-1995) supported him with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 17 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists by point guard Pablo Martinez (185-1997) did not help to save the game for Aljaraque. Point guard Miguel Mora (180-1987) added 15 points and 7 rebounds. Aljaraque's coach Jose Pedrote tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. CBSFDO (13-8) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with La Zubia. Aljaraque lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Pozuelo. CBSFDO will meet Badajoz (#4) on the road in the next round. Aljaraque will play against the league's leader Huelva CD and hope to secure a win.
