It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Arad's pressure prevailed and they won that period 41-16 extending their advantage to 28 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Cluj Napoca's 20. They outrebounded Cluj Napoca 36-23 including 26 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Polish Martyna Pyka (177-1995) who scored 23 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American forward Trinity Baptiste (183-1998, college: Arizona) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Ruxandra Chis (176-1993) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Alexandra Uiuiu (183-1989) added 12 points respectively for the hosts. Cluj Napoca's coach was aware about no chance of winning the game, so allowed to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
