There was no surprise when 8th ranked Mantova (9-14) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Broni (12-11) 65-56 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Swedish forward Amanda Kantzy (186-1996, college: Albany) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Ilaria Bonvecchio (172-1994) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Broni players scored in double figures. Broni's coach Michael Magagnoli used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized Argentinian power forward Florencia Llorente (182-1992) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds and swingman Marida Orazzo (175-1994, agency: LBM Management) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Broni maintains fifth place with 12-11 record, which they share with Matelica and Savona. Mantova lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 14 games lost.
