Regular Season Round 25: Limoges - Monaco 83-76

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Monaco (20-4) on the court of ninth ranked Limoges CSP Elite on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Limoges CSP Elite 83-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Monaco. Limoges CSP Elite made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. U.S. Virgin Islands forward Desi Rodriguez (198-1996, college: Seton Hall) stepped up and scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international swingman Nicolas Lang (198-1990) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists. At the losing side the former international guard Elie Okobo (191-1997) responded with 19 points and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and Lithuanian center Donatas Motiejunas (213-1990) scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Limoges CSP Elite went down to tenth position due to points difference, which they share with Strasbourg. Monaco at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. Limoges CSP Elite is looking forward to face higher ranked JDA Dijon (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Monaco will play against SIG Strasbourg (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
