An exciting game was played in Peja. Second ranked Kosovan Peja faced 4th ranked Bulgarian Beroe. Host Peja (8-2) smashed guests from Stara Zagora (3-7) 125-93. Peja shot 65.8 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 22 long-distance shots on high 57.9 percentage. Peja looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. The best player for the winners was Canadian guard Devoe Joseph (193-1990, college: Oregon) who scored 20 points and 8 assists. American Jalen Tate (198-1998, college: Arkansas) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds. Peja's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Danjel Purifoy (201-1995, college: Auburn, agency: Helping Ballers) who recorded a double-double by scoring 32 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and his fellow American import guard Kelsey Barlow (196-1991, college: UIC) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively. Five Peja and four Beroe players scored in double figures. Peja maintains second position with 8-2 record behind leader H.Be'er Sheva. Beroe lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with seven games lost. Peja are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Levski (#7) in Sofia in the next round where they are favorite. Beroe will play on the road against Budivelnyk in Kyiv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
