There was no surprise when 10th ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (12-14) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Chorale de Roanne (14-12) 101-96. Chorale de Roanne shot 63.3 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Chorale de Roanne especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 66.7 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. American swingman Ronald March (196-1993, college: Philander Smith) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 7 assists. The former international power forward Yannis Morin (208-1993) contributed with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. March is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American point guard Kenny Boynton (188-1991, college: Florida) replied with 22 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import point guard Justin Robinson (170-1995, college: Monmouth) added 16 points and 10 assists in the effort for Gravelines-Dunkerque. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Chorale de Roanne moved-up to sixth place. Gravelines-Dunkerque at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Limoges. Chorale de Roanne will play against higher ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against Provence Basket (#17) in Fos-sur-Mer and hopes to get back on the winning track.
