Second Stage Round 5: Tarbes-Lourdes - Kaysersberg 84-70

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 4th placed Kaysersberg (2-2) lost on the road to fifth ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (2-1) 84-70 on Tuesday. It was a key game for the second position in the league. American Devante Wallace (196-1992, college: High Point, agency: BIG) nailed 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists for the winning side and power forward Ludovic Martel (208-2000) accounted for 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Point guard Gregory Bengaber (186-1997) came up with 19 points and 9 rebounds and Boukhary Cissoko (198-2000) added 15 points respectively for Kaysersberg in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lourdes-Tarbes moved-up to second place, which they share with Hyeres-Toulon and Pont-de-Cheruy. Loser Kaysersberg dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Toulouse. Lourdes-Tarbes will meet Pontoise (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kaysersberg will play against CFBB and hope to secure a win.
