Rather expected game in Reykjavik where 12th ranked KR (4-18) was defeated by ninth ranked Stjarnan (9-13) 118-100 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Stjarnan. KR managed to win fourth quarter 31-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Swedish William Gutenius (206-1992) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Dagur Jonsson (188-1995, college: SFC) chipped in 25 points and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Finnish guard Aapeli Alanen (201-1996, agency: Blacktop Management) produced 21 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Veigar Hlynsson (196-2001) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stjarnan moved-up to eighth place. KR lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost.
