Second Stage Round 6: Orchies - Vitre 100-60

There was an upset in Orchies where second-best Vitre (3-3) was rolled over by tenth ranked Orchesien BC (2-4) 100-60 on Friday. Orchesien BC made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Orchesien BC outrebounded Vitre 36-22 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Orchesien BC looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Vitre's players. The best player for the winners was American power forward Joe Burton (203-1990, college: Oregon St., agency: GoEmpire Group) who scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Anthony Prugnieres (200-1992) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Orchesien BC players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Tristan Pothion (203-1992) who recorded 13 points and point guard Louis Prolhac (177-1991) added 10 points and 6 assists respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Orchesien BC moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Vitre dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with 7 other teams. Orchesien BC will meet higher ranked Union Rennes (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Vitre will play against Caen and hope to secure a win.
