There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked M.Rehovot (9-17) edged 9th ranked M.Ma'ale Adum. (12-14) in Ma'ale Adumim 75-73 on Friday. M.Rehovot looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American swingman Brent Jackson (193-1994, college: Columbus St.) notched 24 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import power forward Brandon Sherrod (198-1992, college: Yale) supported him with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Jackson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Canadian center Eddie Ekiyor (206-1997, college: Carleton) did not help to save the game for M.Ma'ale Adum.. Naturalized American swingman Simcha Halpert (190-1997, college: Yeshiva) added 11 points and 7 assists for the hosts. Four M.Ma'ale Adum. players scored in double figures. Newly promoted M.Rehovot maintains eleventh position with 9-17 record, which they share with E.Shomron. Loser M.Ma'ale Adum. keeps the ninth place with 14 games lost.
