No shocking result in a game in Barcelona where fifth ranked Maresme (16-9) edged 12th ranked Sant Adria (6-19) 55-54 on Friday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Maresme forced 20 Sant Adria turnovers. Laia Soler (185-2001, college: Boise St.) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Irene Broncano (183-2004) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Judith Turrion (179-1996) produced 14 points and 6 rebounds and Queralt Ribera added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Maresme maintains fifth place with 16-9 record. Loser Sant Adria keeps the twelfth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Cerdanyola.
