Regular Season Round 20: Kamza - Beselidhja 96-87

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Beselidhja (15-5) in Tirana on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Kamza (9-10) 96-87. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Beselidhja. Kamza made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for the former international forward Niko Thano (196-1991) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. Canadian guard Quinton Gray (190, college: Queen's) contributed with 28 points, 6 assists and 4 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners. Four Kamza players scored in double figures. American guard Jordan Robinson (195-1996, college: North Park) replied with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Bryant Bernard (183-1997, college: TWU) added 24 points and 4 assists in the effort for Beselidhja. Beselidhja's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kamza maintains fourth position with 9-10 record. Beselidhja at the other side still keeps top place with five games lost. Kamza are looking forward to face Apolonia (#5) in Fier in the next round. Beselidhja will play on the road against the league's second-placed Teuta (#2) in Durres and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
