Not a big story in a game when 18th ranked Saint Vallier (7-19) was outplayed on the road by second ranked Chalon/Saor (19-7) 93-58 on Friday. Chalon/Saor outrebounded Saint Vallier 43-32 including 28 on the defensive glass. Croatian guard Antonio Jordano (190-1999) scored 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Damien Bouquet (196-1994) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Power forward Bangaly Fofana (213-1989) responded with 10 points and 7 rebounds and center Alexis Thomas (208-1995) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chalon/Saor have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 19-7 record behind leader Saint Quentin. Loser Saint Vallier stay at the bottom place with 19 games lost. Chalon/Saor will meet Denain Voltaire (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Saint Vallier will play against Entente Orleans 45 (#8) and hope to secure a win.
