There was no surprise when 10th ranked Carugate (9-15) was defeated on the road by second ranked Scrivia (21-3) 76-66 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Sofia Marangoni (177-1995) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 6 assists and guard Valentina Baldelli (171-1989) who added 15 points and 5 assists during the contest. Scrivia's coach Nino Molino used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Canadian forward Christina Morra (188-2000, college: Wake Forest) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Francesca Cassani (180-1995) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Carugate players scored in double figures. Scrivia have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Empoli. Carugate lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Scrivia will meet league's leader Milano on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
