There was a minor upset when 13th ranked Melilla (9-19) lost to fifteenth ranked Picken Claret (9-20) in Valencia 51-63. Argentinian power forward Celia Fiorotto (186-1992) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Marina Bleda chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Picken Claret's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Brazilian power forward Leticia Rodrigues (187-1995) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds and swingman Ana Garcia (175-2000) scored 7 points and 8 rebounds. Newly promoted Picken Claret maintains fifteenth place with 9-20 record. Melilla at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Azkoitia. Picken Claret will play against higher ranked Lima-Horta (#12) in Barcelona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
