Second Stage Round 4: Zabok - Alkar 63-88

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Zabok (7-19) was smashed at home by twelfth ranked Alkar (7-19) 88-63 on Saturday. Alkar looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by point guard Lovre Basic (180-1995) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals and guard Ivan Svalina (198-1997) supported him with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Four Alkar players scored in double figures. Alkar's coach Luka Bujas felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 26 points and 4 assists by American point guard RJ Glasper (183-1998, college: UIW) did not help to save the game for Zabok. Montenegrin center Marko Perovic (204-1992, agency: 011 Sports) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Alkar moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Zabok and Skrljevo. Alkar will meet at home Skrljevo (#11) in the next round. Zabok will play against Bosco in Zagreb and hope to secure a win.
