Second Stage Round 3: Stoja Pula - Samobor 79-76

Eleventh-ranked Samobor (4-21) gave a tough game to Stoja Pula (9-16). Stoja Pula managed to secure only three-point victory 79-76. However their fans expected easier game. Stoja Pula made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Samobor turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Marin Djugum (201-1996) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 19 rebounds. Point guard Filip Gustovarac (183-2001) accounted for 15 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Four Stoja Pula players scored in double figures. Stoja Pula's coach Vladimir Korosec allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Hrvoje Puljko (193-1983) came up with 27 points and 9 rebounds and forward Roko Spaseski (-2002) added 18 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Samobor in the defeat. Stoja Pula will again play against Samobor (#11) on the road in the next round. Samobor will have a break next round.
