Regular Season Round 24: Pesaro - Trento 70-84

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked Pesaro (11-12) lost at home to eighth ranked Trento (12-12) 84-70 on Sunday. Trento dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Pesaro's 22. Trento forced 23 Pesaro turnovers. The winners were led by the former international Diego Flaccadori (193-1996) who scored that evening 17 points and 4 assists and Latvian Andrejs Grazulis (202-1993) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Even 14 points by American power forward Kwan Cheatham Jr (206-1995, college: Akron) did not help to save the game for Pesaro. The former international guard Matteo Tambone (192-1994) added 14 points. Four Pesaro players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trento moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Venezia. Pesaro lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Trento will meet at home Trieste (#11) in the next round. Pesaro will play against the league's second-placed Milano where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
