San Severo used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Roma 76-72 on Sunday night. San Severo made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. American power forward Ed Daniel (202-1990, college: Murray St., agency: Green Sports Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and his fellow American import Nik Raivio (193-1986, college: Portland, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Five San Severo players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Duane Wilson (190-1994, college: Texas A&M) responded with 22 points and the former international point guard Jacopo Giachetti (191-1983) scored 12 points (made all of his eight free throws). San Severo will meet Rieti Kienergia on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. RO SAzzurra will play against Mantova and hope to secure a win.
