An interesting game for Maccabi Tel-Aviv (19-3) which played road game in Jerusalem against their close opponent Hapoel Jerusalem (15-7). Maccabi Tel-Aviv managed to get a 14-point victory 88-74. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Hapoel Jerusalem. Maccabi Tel-Aviv made 31-of-36 free shots (86.1 percent) during the game, while Hapoel Jerusalem only scored fifteen points from the stripe. Maccabi Tel-Aviv forced 19 Hapoel Jerusalem turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Hapoel Jerusalem helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Spanish point guard Lorenzo Brown (196-1990, college: NC State) who helped to win the game recording 18 points. American point guard Wade Baldwin IV (193-1996, college: Vanderbilt) contributed with 10 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Maccabi Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. American point guard Brandon Brown (183-1989, college: UMW) replied with 15 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import center Zachary Hankins (211-1996, college: Xavier) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel Jerusalem. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maccabi Tel-Aviv have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Despite that victory Maccabi Tel-Aviv went down to fifth position due to points difference. Hapoel Jerusalem at the other side dropped to the third place with seven games lost.
