Regular Season Round 19: Landes - BLMA 79-67

Another interesting game for Landes (8-11) which hosted in Mont de Marsan against 4th placed BLMA (14-5). Eighth ranked Landes had an easy win 79-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BLMA. Landes made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 BLMA turnovers. It was a great evening for Spanish center Laura Gil (190-1992) who led her team to a victory scoring 15 points and 6 rebounds. The former international point guard Marine Fauthoux (173-2001) helped adding 20 points. Landes' coach Julie Barennes allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side the former international point guard Romane Bernies (170-1993) responded with 15 points and 4 assists and Belgian point guard Julie Vanloo (172-1993) scored 16 points. Landes moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Angers. BLMA at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Landes will play against bottom-ranked Bretagne (#12) in Pleyber-Christ in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. BLMA will play at home against the league's leader Lyon (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
