Regular Season Round 26: Trefl - GTK 98-79

There was no surprise when 14th ranked GTK (8-18) was outleveled by third ranked Trefl (17-9) in Sopot 98-79 on Wednesday. American guard Garrett Nevels (188-1992, college: Hawaii, agency: Slash Sports) notched 23 points to lead the effort and international Andrzej Pluta (190-2000) supported him with 17 points and 6 assists. Even 21 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by Croatian forward Jure Skific (202-1988, agency: 011 Sports) did not help to save the game for GTK. American swingman Malachi Richardson (198-1996, college: Syracuse) added 16 points for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Trefl went down to fourth position due to points difference, which they share with Legia. GTK lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Astoria and Start. Trefl will meet at home Legia (#4) in the next round. GTK will play against Anwil (#9) and hope to secure a win.
