There was no surprise when 5th ranked Gernika (16-13) was outplayed at home by first ranked Valencia (26-4) 83-64 on Wednesday. Valencia looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Valencia made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Queralt Casas (177-1992) who scored 9 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international swingman Alba Torrens (188-1989) chipped in 14 points and 7 assists.
