There was an upset when higher ranked San Salvatore (13-12) was outleveled at home by thirteenth ranked Cagliari (5-19) 73-50 on Wednesday. Cagliari dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to San Salvatore's 28. Cagliari forced 21 San Salvatore turnovers. Polish power forward Karolina Stawinska (186-1997, agency: AB Agency) nailed 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and guard Erika Striulli (170-1990) accounted for 12 points and 6 assists.
