Sixteenth-ranked Polonia (9-25) was very close to win a game against second ranked Dziki (26-8) in Warszawa on Wednesday. Dziki managed to secure only one-point victory 91-90. However their fans expected much easier game. Dziki looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Mateusz Bartosz (205-1987) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. American guard Marcus Azor (182-2000, college: UMass Dartmouth) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Dziki's coach Krzysztof Szablowski used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Alphonso Willis (188-1998, college: A&M-Commerce) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and Damian Szczepanik (198-1997) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Polonia. Five Dziki and four Polonia players scored in double figures. Dziki have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 26-8 record behind leader Walbrzych. Polonia lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth place with 25 games lost. They share the position with Zgorzelec.
