Fifth-ranked Broni (12-13) used its home court advantage to challenge third ranked Costa Masnaga (21-4) on Wednesday. The visitors from Masnaga managed to secure only three-point victory 66-63. However their fans expected easier game. Costa Masnaga outrebounded Broni 49-35 including a 40-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of German forward Patricia Brossmann (183-1997, college: San Diego) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Vittoria Allievi (183-2003) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Giulia Manzotti (178-1993) answered with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Ada De Pasquale (178-1995, agency: LBM Management) added 15 points in the effort for Broni. Costa Masnaga have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Scrivia. Broni at the other side keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost.
