Regular Season Round 26: Arka - Sokol 84-81

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when twelfth ranked Suzuki Arka (9-16) edged 11th ranked Sokol (9-17) in Gdynia 84-81 on Thursday. Suzuki Arka looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Trey Wade (198-1998, college: Arkansas) notched 15 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian point guard Novak Music (188-1998) supported him with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Even 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists by American forward Corey Sanders (188-1997, college: Rutgers) did not help to save the game for Sokol. His fellow American import forward Adam Kemp (208-1990, college: Marist) added 12 points and 14 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the guests. Five Suzuki Arka and four Sokol players scored in double figures. Sokol's coach Marek Lukomski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Suzuki Arka moved-up to tenth place, which they share with MKS DG. Newly promoted Sokol dropped to the twelfth position with 17 games lost. Suzuki Arka will meet at home league's leader WKS Slask in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sokol will play against Stal (#3) in Ostrow Wlkp. and hope to secure a win.
