Very expected game when 14th ranked Gravelines (9-19) was defeated at home by second ranked ASVEL (21-6) 70-59 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of Gambian center Babacar Mbye (212-2002) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 21 rebounds and guard Noah Manet (194-2004) who added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side guard Adrien Tyberghien (183-2005) responded with 10 points and 7 assists and center Jared Ambrose (204-2002) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Gravelines' coach Bertrand Van Butsele rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ASVEL maintains second position with 21-6 record having five points less than leader Cholet. Gravelines lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 19 games lost. They share the position with Dijon. ASVEL will meet at home Le Portel (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gravelines will play against Pau-Lacq-Orthez and hope to secure a win.
