Very important is a road loss of third ranked Berck (3-2) against fourth ranked Hyeres-Toulon (4-1) on Friday night. Visiting Berck was defeated by Hyeres-Toulon in a tough game in Toulon 70-75. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The winners were led by Lithuanian point guard Mantvydas Staniulis (186-1997) who scored that evening 20 points and 7 assists and forward Oumarou Baradji (202-1989) supported him with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Even 16 points by swingman Adrien Henocq (194-1996) did not help to save the game for Berck. Power forward Luidgy Laporal (206-1995, college: SFU) added 10 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Berck's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hyeres-Toulon have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Tarbes-Lourdes and Pont-de-Cheruy. Berck at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. Hyeres-Toulon will meet league's leader Lourdes-Tarbes on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Berck will play against Pontoise and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
