Regular Season Round 27: ASA - Vichy Clermont 71-77

Rather predictable result when seventh ranked JA Vichy (15-12) won against 9th ranked ASA (13-14) in Gries 77-71 on Friday. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Tray Boyd III (193-1998, college: ETSU) who led the winners and scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Ivan Fevrier (204-1999) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four JA Vichy players scored in double figures. Naturalized Spanish guard Tom Digbeu (195-2001) came up with 20 points and center Yvann MBaya (209-2001) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for ASA in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. JA Vichy maintains seventh place with 15-12 record. ASA lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Angers. JA Vichy will meet at home Etoile Angers (#10) in the next round. ASA will play against Lille Metropole and hope to secure a win.
