Second Stage Round 8: Le Havre - Vitre 83-86

The most exciting game of round 8 in the NM1 took place in Le Havre. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 6th ranked STB Le Havre (3-5) to fourth ranked Vitre (5-3) 86-83 on Friday evening. Vitre made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Swingman Hugo Bequignon (193-2001) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vitre moved-up to third place, which they share with Rueil. STB Le Havre lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Vitre is looking forward to face league's second-placed SPO Rouen at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. STB Le Havre will play against Poitiers (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
