Very significant was Tirana's (#2, 14-2) victory against 4th ranked Vllaznia (8-8) 94-71. Tirana dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Vllaznia's 32. Tirana forced 22 Vllaznia turnovers and outrebounded them 35-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. The winners were led by the former international guard Aida Palko (176-1984) who scored that evening 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and international point guard Enisa Qosja (170-1995) supported her with 20 points. Five Tirana players scored in double figures. Even 39 points (!!!) and 6 steals by the former international Bernarda Rreshpja (180-2001, college: Southeastern) did not help to save the game for Vllaznia. Anisa Musaja (175-2005) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. Tirana (14-2) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position having just two points less than leader Flamurtari. Vllaznia at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. Tirana will play against league's leader Flamurtari in Vlore in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vllaznia will play at home against Berleti and hopes to get back on the winning track.
