Regular Season Round 22: Aris - Promitheas 95-79

Another exciting game was played in Thessaloniki between eighth ranked Aris and 5th ranked Promitheas where host Aris (11-11) won against Promitheas (12-10) with 16-point difference 95-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Promitheas. Aris made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Promitheas 37-25 including 23 on the defensive glass. Aris players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Vasileios Toliopoulos (186-1996) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 assists. American-British forward Noah Horchler (203-1998, college: Providence) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Aris players scored in double figures. American Dustin Hogue (198-1992, college: Iowa St.) replied with 11 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Joe Thomasson (193-1993, college: Wright St., agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points in the effort for Promitheas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aris moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Kolossos HH. Promitheas at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with AEK.
