Very expected game in Alcantarilla where 13th ranked Jairis (11-18) was defeated by fifth ranked Gernika (17-13) 55-50 on Sunday. Gernika forced 22 Jairis turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Italian swingman Laura Spreafico (183-1991, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and Portuguese Sofia Gomes (188-1990, college: Tallahassee) who added 7 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Gernika's coach Anna Montanana used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side the former international Belen Arrojo (188-1995) responded with 7 points and 10 rebounds and center Rebeca Cotano (188-1995) scored 12 points.
