There was no surprise when 13th ranked Limoges CSP Elite (12-17) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Le Mans (15-14) 77-71 on Wednesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Le Mans made 31-of-41 free shots (75.6 percent) during the game, while Limoges CSP Elite only scored eleven points from the stripe. They outrebounded Limoges CSP Elite 38-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Le Mans looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Matt Morgan (188-1997, college: Cornell) stepped up and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Josh Carlton (211-1999, college: Houston) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. American point guard Bryce Jones (183-1994, college: Murray St.) responded with 14 points and 5 assists and the former international swingman Nicolas Lang (198-1990) scored 17 points and 5 assists. Limoges CSP Elite's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Le Mans maintains seventh place with 15-14 record. Limoges CSP Elite lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Nanterre and Le Portel. Le Mans will meet at home Paris (#9) in the next round.
