Regular Season Round 27: Ermis S. - Megaridas 85-87

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when tenth ranked Megaridas (14-12) edged on the road 9th ranked Ermis S. (13-12) 87-85 on Wednesday. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Dimitris Geromichalos (185-1994) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 4 assists. Guard Vangelis Palaiohoritis (186-1995) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Montenegrin center Milovan Draskovic (211-1995) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds and American guard Zack Bryant (188-1997, college: Georgia South) added 21 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) respectively for Ermis S. in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Megaridas moved-up to seventh place. Ermis S. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. Megaridas will meet at home higher ranked Eleftheroupoli (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ermis S. will play against Aias Evosmou (#14) and hope to secure a win.
