There was no surprise when 8th ranked Chorale de Roanne (14-15) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Cholet Basket (17-11) 81-74 on Thursday. Cholet Basket outrebounded Chorale de Roanne 40-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Center Neal Sako (210-1998) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American forward Perry Ellis (203-1993, college: Kansas) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Cholet Basket players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Yannis Morin (208-1993) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and American swingman Ronald March (196-1993, college: Philander Smith) scored 12 points, 9 assists and 5 steals. Chorale de Roanne's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cholet Basket moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bourg. Chorale de Roanne lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Paris.
