Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (4-5) was defeated on the road by third ranked Rueil (6-3) 83-70 on Friday. Rueil made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 SO Maritime Boulogne turnovers. The best player for the winners was point guard Warren Racine (188-1995) who scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international forward Jean-Frederic Morency (200-1989) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Rueil's coach Denis Mettay used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Wendell Davis (197-1995, college: Ashland) who recorded 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Serbian-Montenegrin power forward Luka Nikolic (209-1994) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rueil moved-up to second place, which they share with Tours. Loser SO Maritime Boulogne keeps the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Rueil will meet Besancon (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. SO Maritime Boulogne will play against Toulouse and hope to secure a win.
